Amond Coaching Juvenile Bonanza  

Amond Coaching is delighted to announce a series of Open Juvenile Badminton Bonanzas in 2020/2021. The events are open to all levels in their respective age group and are a fantastic opportunity for local players to experience an open event in a round robin format.  

Entries are strictly limited to 10 players/pairs per event. This will ensure players play a minimum of 4 matches in each event.

All U13 events will take place on the Saturday with Boys and Girls Singles commencing at 9am. Boys and Girls doubles will Follow at 12pm with Mixed Doubles starting at 3pm.

All u17 events will take place on Sunday and follow the same line up with singles in at 9am, Boys and Girls Doubles at 12pm and Mixed Doubles at 3pm.

The cost for each player per event is €15. Each event will have 2 groups. Players will play each other in their respective groups in 2 sets to 21 NO SETTING, with the top two in each group advancing to a semi final and the winners of each will playing a final. All players will play a minimum of 4 matches in each discipline entered. Shuttles are provided at match control and all players are responsible for counting their own games. Tournament officials will step in if needed but we encourage players to work together in a sporting capacity.

Rules/Regulations

  •  Open to players born in 2004 or later for U17 events and 2008 or later for U13 events

  • The Tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Laws of Badminton and the Rules of Badminton World Federation.

  • Players MUST be affiliated to Badminton Ireland or other National Badminton Association.

  • Entry fee is €15 per event. As places are strictly limited a deposit of €5 per event MUST be paid to secure a place in the tournament. The outstanding amount MUST be paid before players take to the court or you will not be allowed to play.

  • All events will be Round Robin, 2 sets to 21 with no setting. 1/2 finals and finals will be a standard best of 3 set match using the 21 scoring system. 

  • In line with the recommendation in Badminton Ireland's Code of Conduct, the promoters of this event request that any person wishing to engage in any video, zoom or close range photography should register their details with the organisers. On no account should children be photographed or filmed without their permission and the permission of their parents or guardians.

  • Feather Shuttles will be used and are provided by organisers.

 

  • All decisions by the Tournament Referee are final.
