Busy Weekend on and off the Court

Last weekend was a very busy weekend indeed for members of AC Academy both on and off the court: Saturday December 1st saw Amond Coaching Academy Coach Declan Bennett win the MD in the Connacht Badminton Grade A in Sligo. Declan teamed up with Tony Crowley to form a scratch pairing and played extremely well on the day to win a number of games including beatin the number 1 seeds in the opening round.
Saturday night saw Amond Coaching Head Coach John Amond nominated for coach of the year at the Badminton Ireland Annual Awards. John narrowly lost out to Mark Topping on the night, however just to be nominated alone was an amazing achievement and a great acknowledgement of all the hard work and development that John has put in.
Sunday 2nd December in Vicarstown at the Laois B Yonex Juvenile Open Amond Coaching Academy was very well represented by no less than 9 players.
